Round, full-bodied and lush. Packs butter, apple, peach and spice flavors into a generous frame, with a good underlying structure. Firms up on the finish. Give it a few years to absorb the oak. Best from 2008 through 2018.

Burghound (BH)

Discreet if not invisible wood pairs with elegant and refined green apple, spice and slightly exotic fruit aromas and round, intense and moderately austere full-bodied flavors that are supple yet pack plenty of muscle and punch on the powerfully long finish. While this will not go down as one of the all time great Latour C-Cs, it is certainly an excellent wine and worth a look, particularly at the price for which this typically sells.
