This is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 5% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo that spends six years in old American oak during which time it is racked twice a year. Despite a light frost in April and hail in July, production was slightly higher than in 2005. A handsome magnum!!! Gorgeous subtle ruby colour. Such classic, mature rioja aromas! Graceful. Far from heavy. Just a lovely 13- year-old treasure that could be drunk now but could be a wonderful present for someone starting a cellar. Long and delightfully subtle. Transparent. – 10/15/2019
