The Pol Roger estate is located in the heart of the Champagne region, in Epernay, where the Roger family began making their exceptional Champagne 150 years ago. Elegance and excellence are signature characteristics of the Pol Roger Champagne style. It is no wonder that Pol Roger was the favorite Champagne of Sir Winston Churchill and has long been the choice of British aristocracy.
Wine Spectactor (WS)
Rich accents of smoke and pastry lead to white raspberry and apricot fruit, ground ginger and Earl Grey tea notes in this firm, well-knit rosé Champagne. Long and creamy on the lightly spiced finish. Drink now through 2029. 4,000 cases made.
Wine Advocate (WA)
Blending 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay with 15% Pinot Noir red wine from the Montagne de Reims, Pol Roger’s 2009 Vintage Brut Rosé displays an intense salmon/onion color and a rich, vinous bouquet of red berries and cherries that come along as ripe and dried fruit flavors. Full-bodied, round and dry, with very fine tannins giving a firm, refreshing and grippy structure framing body and the intense fruit, this is an elegant, fresh and finessed rosé with a delicate Pinot character on the finish. Aged for seven years on the second lees, the 2009 reveals good length and structure and is a serious gastronomic rosé. The lot number L81452849E displayed on the packaging note is illegible on the bottle. Tasted July 2018. – Stephan Reinhardt – 31-08-2018
Wine Enthusiast (WE)
This perfumed wine has just the right color and lively, crisp acidity. The full-bodied feel is very much the house style of this producer, giving richness from ripe red fruits as well as balanced acidity to finish. The wine is generous and ready to drink.

James Suckling (JS)
I like the 2009 vintage for rosé. Here, it delivers a playfully fruit-fueled core of bold cherries and watermelon with some chalky moments on the palate. This has a very inviting attitude. Drink now.
