Good full red. Pungent red and darker fruit aromas complemented by smoke and fresh herbs. Firmly structured and a bit youthfully bound-up, showing flavors of dark cherry, spices and herbs. With its brisk acidity, this pinot is currently showing less early sweetness than the Stanly Ranch bottling and needs a year or two of patience. -International Wine Cellar
A streak of loamy earth and leather puts a tamper on the fruit, built around dried berry, sage, anise and cedar. Medium- to full-bodied, finishing with a return to the loamy earth start. Drink now through 2022.
