Medium red. Reticent aromas of redcurrant and flowers. Sweet and suave but youthfully unevolved owing to the late malolactic fermentation. Juicy, nicely delineated flavors of raspberry and rose petal. Finishes with firm but sweet tannins and enticing lift. This holds out considerable promise.
A toasty nose of red and black cherry, spice, earth and a hint of game merges into cool and pure middle weight flavors that display a subtle trace of minerality. There is a firm but not hard tannic spine shaping the delicious and moderately persistent finish that offers good if not truly special depth.
