Pro Reviews

Vinous Media (VM)

Mineral-driven aromas of lime, mirabelle, honey, licorice and crushed stone. Sweet, full and concentrated, but showing a distinctly firm edge to the flavors of lemon drop, wet stone and menthol. Finishes broad and long, with salty mineral traces. This should ultimately outclass the Vigne Blanche but it’s more closed today and needs at least three or four years of cellaring.

Burghound (BH)

A similar hint of pain grillé sits atop the exotic but very fresh aromas of dried yellow orchard fruit, Asian tea, mandarin orange and floral hints. The medium weight plus flavors also brim with dry extract that confers an opulent mouth feel onto the seductively textured, intense and muscular flavors that culminate in a powerfully long and mineral-driven finish. This is simply terrific and if you can find it buy it.
