The 2012 Syrah Har’el is 100% Syrah, aged for 16 months in 70% new French oak. It is listed at 14% alcohol. This is a subtly sexy Har’el Syrah, elegant in the mid-palate, but tasty and fragrant with caressing texture. This is nicely balanced and rather sensual, sweet on the finish as well as aromatic at the start. Beautifully structured as well, it starts to sing after being aired out for a couple of hours. There isn’t a lot of “wow” here. It merely tastes great and drinks beautifully. There were 26,000 bottles produced. Drink now-2023. -Wine Advocate
