The 2012 Chardonnay North Valley comes 30% from the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and 70% from Eola-Amity Hills, matured in 11% new French oak, 28% neutral French oak and the remainder in stainless steel. It has quite an intense lemon curd and custard-creme bouquet. The palate is balanced with quite a rich texture with racy acidity thanks to the 20% malolactic; spicy in the mouth with a twist of bitter lemon toward the finish. Fine. -Wine Advocate
