An elegant white, with a frame of firm acidity that is well-meshed with a layer of smoky minerality and flavors of dried apricot, toasted almond, lemon curd and herb. Drink now through 2020. 4,000 cases imported.

Pale straw-green. Pristine aromas of white stone fruits and balsamic herbs. Rich and ripe but very fresh too, with lively acidity enlivening the orchard fruit and balsamic spice flavors and extending the finish. The wine’s residual sugar is obvious but it nonetheless comes across as basically dry, extremely precise and not at all heavy. The long aftertaste features notes of smoked beef, tropical fruits and flint. A knockout Pinot Gris. –Ian D’Agata
