Violets, lavender, cloves, mint, licorice and blueberries jump from the glass in the 2013 Dolcetto d’Alba Coste & Fossati, a wine that captures the essence of two great sites in Barolo. Partial aging in oak gives the 2013 much of its volume. This dark, rich, concentrated Dolcetto should continue to offer thrilling drinking over the next decade or so. This is a Dolcetto of rare pedigree and class.
