Being made from 50 year old vines mostly located in and around Meursault, gives this wine many of the best expressions of chardonnay and some of the characteristics of Meursault itself, at a more appealing price, which is what Lars and myself were looking for on this trip. The excellent location of the vines and their age give this wine more complexity and character with a great balance between grace and a firm presence which will reveal more of itself after another 6 months to a year in the bottle.
