2014 Domaine Gerard Thomas Saint Aubin 1er Cru La Chateniere

This is one of the warmer south facing 1er Cru vineyards of Saint-Aubin producing wines with a bit more fruit then its neighbors in Saint Aubin. A pale straw colored wine with lovely aromas of delicate orange blossom, young white peach and lemon. Vibrant on the palate with a slight tension adding interest. Delivering the acidity and dryness one expects from a Premier Cru Saint Aubin harmonizing with white and yellow stone fruit, citrus and an complex array of minerals which continual into the fresh, dry and clean finish, calling one back for more. Serve with firmly textured fish, grilled or steamed crustaceans and lightly seasoned poultry. Will also pair well with cream sauces since the wines acidity will cut through the richness of the sauce.
