2014 Domaine Philippe Chavy Puligny-Montrachet Les Corvees des Vignes

The vines for this wine come from 2 plots totaling 0.64 hectares which were planted between 1948-1953. The vineyard is ploughed, and the vines are pruned and cared for without the use of insecticide or herbicide in order to preserve the indigenous micro flora of the terroir. Certain tasks in the vineyard and in the actual wine making process are coordinated with the lunar cycle. This wine is gorgeous with creamy citrus peel and herbal top notes of lavender leaf, sage, and Tahitian vanilla. A creamy custard mouth feel segues to a beautiful vanilla cream finish.
