Good bright red. More meat and smoke to the dark fruit aromas; smells energetic. Then surprisingly rich in the mouth, but the dark fruit flavors come across as a bit youthfully backward in spite of the wine’s excellent _ sucrosité_. Finishes firmly tannic and long. – Stephen Tanzer
