Her 2014 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain is a blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in Darnajou, Taransaud and Gamba French cooperage. She makes 150 cases of this beauty, which has a fragrant nose of red and blackcurrants, licorice, incense and subtle background toast. The lush, full-bodied mouthfeel is texturally enticing with silky tannins, adequate acidity and extravagant fruit richness. This is a beauty to drink now and over the next 15-20 years.

Composed of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Sugarloaf Mountain Proprietary Red has an evocative, earthy nose of tilled soil and mossy bark over a core of warm red and black currants with touches of pencil shavings, dried herbs and fungi. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is fine, elegant and fresh, with expressive earthy layers and a long, finely grained finish.
