The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin les Evocelles has a slightly smudged nose at first, though it seems to gain more clarity as it opens in the glass. The palate has a twist of sour cherry on the entry, rather reduced here and it seems to miss some substance towards the finish. I suspect this will be better after bottling and will seek to re-taste it then. – Neal Martin – 31.12.15
