Usually the most flamboyant wine when young, the 2015 Coddington is rich, opulent and generous. Silky and concentrated, the character of the 2015 vintage really comes through on the palate. Refreshing acidity with a long and intense finish.
Wine Spectactor (WS)
Toasted hazelnut notes linger in the background of the crisp lemon meringue and pear flavors. Detailed and persistent on the long finish, where the spice accents crescendo. Drink now through 2022. 850 cases made.
Wine Advocate (WA)
The 2015 Coddington Chardonnay is youthfully muted with subtle suggestions of lemon curd, lime leaves and grapefruit peel plus a yeasty, toasty, cedary waft. Light to medium-bodied, fine, fresh and delicate in the mouth, it delivers good citrus and yeasty notes. – Lisa Perrotti-Brown – 28-12-2016
Wine Enthusiast (WE)
Usually the bigger, more opulent of the Kumeu River Chardonnays, the 2015 version of the Coddington is medium to full in weight, but strikingly focused and vibrant. Bacony smoke notes frame white peach flavors, finishing long.

James Suckling (JS)
Deep and rich candied-citrus nose with hints of hazelnuts and fresh herbs. Serious richness and concentration, yet so vibrant and crisp through the very long, mineral finish. Delicious now, but with a bright future ahead of it. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
