The 2016 Faugères has a concentrated bouquet of blueberry, sloes, fig and black olive compote under a slight haze of alcohol. The velvety-smooth palate is well balanced with supple tannin and a fine line of acidity. While not the most complex Saint-Émilion I have come across in 2016, it is undeniably seductive and ravishing on the finish. A buxom Saint-Émilion for those with a hedonistic bent.
