2017 Cà Lojera di Tiraboschi Lugana D.O.C.

Description

Lugana is a small region of about 2000 hectares located in the southern part of Garda Lake, its heart is Sirmione. The Lake is split between Lombardy and Veneto. Their 18 ha of Lugana are situated on white clay soils once bottom of the lake and, as the lake receded over time, later became vineyards. This is one of two wineries with vineyards right on the shore and that’s the most important factor because the soil on the shore is very different from vineyards in the hills further up.

White wine with a color range spanning from brilliant straw yellow to marked greenish highlights, with golden reflections with ageing. It has a pleasant bouquet of melons and tangerines with mint accents and some floral notes on the nose and a strong fruity personality on the palate. -Winemaker’s Notes
