The 2018 Santenay Beauregard 1er Cru has slightly more alcohol than other cuvées, but still within reason. It offers lovely wild strawberry, raspberry and cranberry fruit, very well defined with good mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy red fruit, quite deep and rounded. The powerful finish lingers nicely in the mouth. This is a gutsy Santenay that should age well. -Neal Martin (01/2020)
