Pro Reviews

Decanter Magazine (DM)

Often a highlight in the Bichot Premier Cru line-up, this is a fine, expressive Vaucoupin which is already drinking well – but with many years ahead. Concentrated on the palate with lemon and grapefruit characters and a salty finish. A hint of oak adds some extra texture (but not flavour). Precise and confident, this is a lovely wine with very good potential. Drinking Window 2022 – 2028. -Andy Howard (10/08/2020) – 08/10/2020

Burghound (BH)

Noticeable but not really intrusive wood sets off mildly exotic white and yellow peach, sea breeze and iodine whiffs. There is both fine volume and mid-palate density to the intensely mineral-driven flavors that flash a touch of youthful austerity on the sappy and lingering finish. Note that my predicted range implicitly assumes that the oak will eventually integrate. -Allen Meadows (11/10/2020) – 10/11/2020
