The Beaujolais wine region is nestled between Burgundy to the north and the Rhone Valley to the south. The region’s scenic vineyards hug the banks of the Saône River. The main grape varietal of Beaujolais is Gamay, which makes up 99% of the region’s production. Beaujolais has wonderful growing conditions with plentiful sunshine and granite soils that give the wines structure and depth.
