François Faiveley took over the domain at the age of 25. He was able to give it a new boost – using a precursor of the sorting table and carrying out cold macerations for example. At the same age as his father, Erwan Faiveley took over the domain in 2007, becoming the seventh generation. On his arrival, he renewed and reinforced his team and invested in the winery and the vineyards. He brought new dynamics to the family business, while remaining faithful to his predecessors’ values.
The nose sets aromas of black and red fruits against a woody and smoky base. The same greedy, fruity flavors are found on the palate. This wine is well structured with beautiful volume and velvety tannins. All the elements blend together harmoniously giving a silky and hearty wine. -Winemaker’s Notes, Domaine Faiveley website

A ripe and attractively fresh nose features notes of violet, plum, earth and dark currant. There is both good detail and energy to the sleekly textured middle weight flavors that deliver solid length on the balanced finish that displays only a touch of rusticity.
Bright, dark red. Spicy, high-pitched aromas and flavors of raspberry, pomegranate and orange zest. Juicy and intense, showing moderate fleshiness and a light touch. The clay and limestone soil here includes an iron component. -Stephen Tanzer
