2019 Joh Jos Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett

After a mild start with a mixture of dry and toasty days, the months June, July and August brought high temperatures, with a peak of 39.5°C. The rainfall in July helped to prevent damage from drought stress. A greater challenge for the winegrowers was damage caused by sunburn. Nevertheless, the ripening in September had progressed so speedily that they already began to harvest a ripe vintage with good acidity and high extract. Even if the quantities were more moderate, the excellent taste, a fine spiciness, good acidity and a rich flavor profile offer the means for a stellar vintage. Prüm is looking forward to an impressive vintage with fine acidity and great aging potential. -Joh. Jos. Prum On the nose there are fresh aromas of white stone fruits. The palate is well structures with fine minerality and ripe flavors. This Kabinett makes a great companion to Indian and Asian food, spicy dishes or even used as a dessert wine paired with blue cheese.
