Vinous Media (VM)

The NV Brut Expression is a very pretty and expressive wine. The interplay of bright aromatics from the Chardonnay and textural weight from the red grapes offers quite a bit of complexity and overall nuance. Creamy and expressive, the Expression turns a bit more focused into the finish. All the elements are nicely balanced. The Expression is equal parts 2012 and 2011. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Wine Advocate (WA)

Based on 2011 and one-third of 2010 reserve wine, Geoffroy's NV Expression Brut Premier Cru - 50% Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay - opens very clear and fresh on the nose, displaying white fruits along with flavors of nougat, brioche and a hint of smoke. This is a light and fruity, very finesse-full cuvée with a dancing freshness and a nice grip in the finish. Disgorged in February 2015 with eight grams of dosage. Jancis Robinson (JR)

Blend of 2011 and 2012. Mainly Meunier with 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. Disgorged March 2016. Dosage 8g/l. Solid and satsifying with very good balance and a reasonable price tag but a slightly metallic finish. - 12/10/2017
